project revised

unfortunately due to my skill level i have decided to change my project.
i have started this comic several times, each taking a different approach to presenting it.
even though i do still have the time to create the comic even from scratch. i think that it would be a bad choice.
since this is the first professional standard comic i have been trying to create. i have not yet developed a comic style. for example 'Amano Akira' the creator of 'Katekyo hitman reborn' uses allot of ink in her pages in staid of relying on screen tones to shade. ' hiroyuki asada' the creator of 'Tegami Bachi' tends to keep most his images inside of boxes were as 'Katsura Hoshino' the creator of  'D.Gray-Man' lets her images flow out of the boxes and doesn't keep them confined.
because i have not yet developed my own style this will mean that i will probably more then likely end up unhappy with my project once i discover a new way to show things, and may try re starting again. which i have not got the time to allow me to do so.

another reason as to why i should not yet create a comic is because of my lack of understanding of using basic comic effects. i have not yet gotten the hang of using onomatopoeia's or speed lines. theses are highly required and they help to set the mood for a scene. the same scene could either be funny or serious with just a change of say an onomatopoeia. without these they make the story seem bleak and dull.

lastly and most importantly. the biggest factor that is affecting my ability to do a comic at the moment is my anatomy skills. a comic is very different from an illustration. when doing an illustration you can spend quite allot of time correcting the anatomy and if you cant get the pose right you can change it. were as in a comic the pose that is needed cannot be changed and they are often hard ones to do as many poses are mid movement, or have a different perspective.
as my anatomy is not the best in the first place. i struggled allot with the pages. and often the mid movement poses looked stiff and 'poesy' which made the comic look unprofessional and amateur.

i would have liked to create a comic for my project but unfortunately my skills are some what to be desired.
skills were not the only factor for my change. usually when thinking up a story i have months to develop it and it tends to change allot during time. i have no rush to get it done so even though it takes a long time to think everything up, i settle with it as final decisions, this time whilst creating my story i rushed most of the development because the actual making part of the comic takes allot of time. because of this i was never truly contempt with the looks of the characters or world. i also tried to hard to make it unique to other stories. in other comics they usually have some sort of organisation or group that the main character is part of. i personally deal well when designing characters if they all have a similar kind of theme like a uniform. but because i was trying to make it unique i didn't put in an organisation. this led to me not fully liking the story and also never fully liking the characters clothing

because of all these factors and especially the last one i decided that the best option for me to do is to in staid create a 'concept' book for my story. it will give me the time to develop my story and also to put in things that i wanted in it. i wont have to worry about anatomy much or different perspectives.
this book will consist of character bios for the main protagonists and antagonists as well as some side characters. there will be pages with illustrations and information on each of the worlds, weapons and groups/organisations in this story. all this will hopefully be accompanied by a couple pages of artwork, or previous designs of characters.
i will be creating the images and artwok digitally. but the end product will be an A4 printed and bound book
